Abstract
This research is done for revealing men motivation to do polygyny marriage. Motivation is an internal process, which happens in individual which drives individual for moves in a particular action, and lead to a special purpose. Polygyny refers to marriage of a man and has more than one wife. The data taken for this research used interview method, which is in-depth interview and consist of four subjects and has been taken in May until June 2008. Subjects who are involved in this research are average adulthood and have two wives. Based on interview that was done for the entire subject, the result is sexual needed and biology care, are things that motivated men for doing polygyny marriage. Besides biology needed, love and safety needed are also being men motivation.
