Abstract
This research tries to answer the question: how is girl teenager’s adjustment to stepmother? Adjustment is a process marked by how well an individual is able to encounter the changing situation and condition. This research employs deep interview and observation approach. This interview process started on 25 February 2008 to 14 June 2008. Three were four subjects, consisting of three main subjects and one additional subject. The main subjects consist of three girl teenagers who have stepmothers. An additional subject is a stepmother. The result of this research suggests that there is adjustment made by the three subjects. However, not all subjects have the same adjustment every subject has deferent way of overcoming the problem encountered. In addition, the result of this research also shows the obstacle or barrier that the three teenager subjects who live with stepmothers. The first subjects feel that she has managed to adjustment, meanwhile the other two do not think they are make adjustment successfully to their stepmothers.
