Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine daughter in-law's adjustment with her mother in-law who live in the same house (in Chinesse people). This research is uses adjustment theory, which are Haber&Runyon (1983) and Powell (1983) theory. The result of study is included the theory of adjustment by Lazarus (1976), that stated individual who is lack of capability to adjust is called maladjustment and individual who is capable to adjust is called welladjustment. This research is using qualitative method. The data was collected by using depth interview to five subjects. Reporting the result, known that three subjects are maladjusted and another two subjects are welladjusted. That is why most of all daughter in-law is having difficulties in adjusting themselves to their mother in-law.
