Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know about body image and motivation of young adulthood women who undergo aesthetic plastic surgery. Aesthetic plastic surgery patients have increased from year to year. Increased interest in aesthetic plastic surgery can be seen from the increasing number of aesthetic surgery clinics especially in big cities such as Jakarta. This research is being applied in five subjects in 5 months, from February 2010 until June 2010. This research concluds that every subject has a different evaluation about how she see the part of her body which she decided to undergo plastic surgery. Differences in body image is distinguishes motivation for aesthetic surgery. Subjects who had more negative body image have a greater internal motivation and subjects with more positive body image have a greater external motivation.
