Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of living values: an educational program (LVEP) in terms of improving teenagers emotional intelligence. LVEP is a program of educational value, which is able to improve one's personal ability through several experiences of value activity. This study was done at two schools which are located in North Jakarta. The subjects in this study were sophomore students in high school. The method used for this study was quantitative experimental, with experimental group (N = 33) and control group (N = 30). The emotional intelligence was measured by questionnaire, while t-test was used for the data analysis. The data analysis in this study was done by using SPSS 12.00 program for windows, with a margin of error of 0.05. The result of this study showed that there was difference of the average score of intelligence of the subjects in the experimental group, between pre-test (M = 72.79) and post- test (M = 73.82). lt showed an increasing score, even though it was not Significant statistically (t (32) = - 0.505; p = 0,617 (>o.o5))
