Abstract

Assertive behaviour is an individual ability to express his or her opinion, thoughts, feeling and right to others (honestly) by using a suitable way in respecting ourselves and others. The teacher’s performance is teacher’s ability to make teaching planning programs (planning); to make sure the teaching learning process can run well (environment); to give appropriate instructions, accurately and more explicitly (instruction); and have a great responsibility to maintain the students progress teaching learning process (responsibility). Related with these problems, in this research aimed to examine the influence of assertive behaviour of teacher’s performance, empirically. Participant of the study were 64 teachers at Yayasan Badan Kerja Sama Pendidikan (BKSP) Bakti Mulya 400 Jakarta. Based on, the analysis that had been done. The writer found out that there was a positive influence which had significant categorized between the assertive behaviour to teacher’s performance. The influence of assertive behaviour to teacher’s performance was 59,8%. The result of the study showed that there are two kinds of assertive behaviour which are related to one another. There are self respect and respect to others.
