Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find the correlation between basic skills on the classroom management to teachers, in order to minimize the burnout level. Classroom management is a metode to help teacher create a self regulation between students related to build a positive atmosphere learning environment. A competent teacher on classroom management has several skills, which are: communication skill, reducing unacceptable student behavior, and ability to manage time effectively. On the contrary, incompetent teacher is a person who only relies on rigid rules and procedure, gives inconsistent consequence on student’s behavior, and lack of variety in delivering the school lesson. A teacher who cannot overcome a multi dimensional problem inside classroom leads to a burnout. This research used two parameters, which are basic skills on classroom management and burnout questioner. This research took place in ND elementary school. The participants were all the ND elementary school teachers. Based on the the statistic data processing could be concluded that there was a negative relationship between basic skill on classroom management and the teacher burnout level. Therefore. It was a must to provide teachers with basic classroom ,management skill training. Afterward, an evaluation on this training program was conducted using T test paired sample. The result ia that there ia a change on teachers before and after receiving the training program.
