Abstract
"The aim of this quantitative study was to know the relationship and the influence of emotional intelligence on verbal aggressiveness, also was tried to implement emotional intelligence training to lower levels of verbal aggression in adolescents Facebook users. It is expected that the participants can learn to recognize, manage his/her own emotions or other’s through this intervention program. Moreover, the participants would have a positive thinking that could give positive encouragement to others. This study investigated 105 junior high school adolescent students. 24 students were placed in both the experimental group and control group. Results of this study showed an influence of emotional intelligence on verbal aggressiveness and a negative correlation between emotional intelligence and verbal aggresiveness. The results of the intervention program showed that the experimental group was effective because the subject was less in verbal aggressiveness after the emotional intelligence training, while the control group which was given counseling intervention showed no effect of decreasing in verbal aggressiveness on the participants. "
