Abstract
The facts state that Kindergarten education systems are more focus on cognitive development rather than physical and socio-emotional development. Children do not have the opportunity to play and to socialize with peers. These conditions effect in the ability of how children socialize, such as how to share, help, or take turns. Children also do not have enough knowledge about others feeling. This research was done to see the effect of role play to social skills in peer relations. The participants in this research are 43 Kindergarten students from 4 parallel classes. The result shows increasing in all aspects which is given intervention (understanding emotions and the ability to calm down peers) and two aspects which is not given intervention (say “thank you” and compromise with peers).
