Abstract

" Every human being wishes for a peaceful life. This peacefulness covers many life aspects and one of them is the aspect of health or wellbeing. A'healthy body allows human to do different kind of activities and also motivate them to plans for the future. When somebody is infected with HIV/AIDS, consequently their life is timed, which mean that they realize they will die soon. This caused major disruptions on their plans and daily activities. This research is done so we will understand the anxieties of people with HIV/AIDS, including their efforts to decrease and overcome their tribulations. The theory that is used in this research is the theory from Greif and Golden (1994) which explains about those anxieties. This research uses qualitative method of in-depth interview, which was done on five people with HIV/AIDS subjects of young adult age. The study is completed in four months, from June to October 2005. It is proven from this study that their anxieties varies and often different from each others. Furthermore, not all five subjects experiences the same anxieties as Greif and Golden (1994) had mentioned. The anxiety that experienced by all five subjects is the anxiety of relationship with others, including the discriminatory anxiety. The outcome of this research shows that social support they receive plays a major role in increasing their motivation to continue on with their life, especially emotional support."
