Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out whether there’s any difference of social perception toward homosexuality between heterosexual female students of Psychology and heterosexual female student of non-Psychology. The social perception that is examined here involves both evaluative and descriptive perception. The number of subject in this research is 384 students. It’s consisted of 192 female students of Psychology and 192 female students of non-Psychology. Based on significance level (α ) 0.05, the result on the dimension of civil rights attitudes, belief about homosexuality, personal discomfort, and affective reactions, show p < 0.05, with referring to the value of significance of 0.000. This means that there’s a difference of perception between female students of Psychology and female students of non-Psychology in these aspects: (1) attitude toward homosexuals’ rights, (2) belief about homosexuals, (3) comfortableness with homosexuals, (4) affective reactions toward homosexuality.
