Abstract
The disaster can be seen as a stimulus that can emerge a particular reaction to the subject, including children. lronically, the children who experienced flood disaster in Jakarta were reacting normally and there were no reports that they have any psychological problems. Even some of them were feeling happy about it. One of the possibilities is that they have hardiness. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of the social support perception on the 9-12 years old children's hardiness that experience flood disaster in East Jakarta. Data collection was conducted by using till in the blank test, semi-structured interview technique, and drawing assignment that fit to the research topic. The result indicates that the social support perception affects children's hardiness.
