Abstract

"The difference of stress signs on working and non-working women upon menopause period. (Sandi Kartasasmita, M.Psi. & Dra. Ninawati, MM). Faculty of Psychology. Bachelor Program, Tarumanagara University. (60 Pages, R1-R5). The purpose of this research is to find out is there any difference of stress signs between working and non-working women upon menopause period. Stress is the condition that result when person/environment transaction lead the individual to perceive a discrepancy —whether real or not real- between the demands of a situation and the resources of the person's biological, psychological, or social system. In other words, stress signs based on Hibler are responses that occur because of stress which include emotional, behavioral, and physical signs. Participants in this research are 60 middle adulthood women, both working and non-working, with range of age between 46-54 years old. Based on calculations, t-score is -2.097 with significance 0.04, p < 0.05. This shows that there's a difference of stress signs on working and non-working women upon menopause period. "
