Abstract
Marriage commitment is the attempt of two individuals who declared and devoted to live together, yet in difficult times. Marriage commitment owned by each couple is unique. There is marriage commitment established on individual, morale, and structural. Although each individual’s marriage commitment differs, most importantly is how the individual sustain and intensify the commitment. Factors that develop marriage commitments are fairness, affection, and joint activity. Even though, there is possibility that marriage commitment in each individual could make the individual to decide to divorce. Lots of causes that results the individual to divorce, such as monetary, desire to control spouse, affairs, and different of believe. This research is completed in order to gain influencing factors toward marriage commitment on divorce middle aged wives. Research subjects comprise of three women and data gathering process was completed in time duration between September and November 2006. Research result shows factors that developed marriage commitment become important article in sustaining a marriage. This is because an altered marriage commitment could result the individual to divorce.
