Abstract

Individual career counseling is a counseling that facilitate individual capability to learn how to recognize, analyze, and performing potential, interest, values, and personality trait to support the work and career choices. While the purpose of career planning in high school is to develop a specific and systematic career planning to be implemented in realistic actions in pursuing career goals under career counsellor supervision. This research is a qualitative research aims to make a description about the process of career counseling given to a 16-years-old female adolescence in her third year of high school with authoritarian parents. Subject was given an individual career counseling intervention divided in three sessions with 100 minutes duration every session and delivered in three different days. After all the sessions done, there were four career choices that were found appropriate with subject individuality, and a design of career planning. With the counsellor supervision, subject undergo concrete steps according to career planning design until subject entered a faculty of Broadcasting in a university that support her career choice as a broadcaster.
