Abstract

Aggression intention is the willingness to act aggressively. Aggressive behaviour has become the part of adolescence life, especially early adolescence. Early adolescence is the storm and stress period where their emotion not in stability so parent’s role take the main place in their life. Parenting styles are very important for adolescence so they cannot be affected by the worst thing in the environment. One of the worst thing is the increasing of aggression intention that leads toward aggressive behaviour. Perception of parenting styles include authoritative, permissive, authoritarian, and uninvolved. Adolescence who perceives their parents as authoritative has lowest intention aggression than the others. The purpose of this study is to find the difference of aggression intention in early adolescence based on perception of parenting styles. The subject’s number in this study is 400 persons, which consist of 172 males and 228 females. Data has been collected through questionnaire and analyzed using One-Way Anova; F (3, 396) = 41.509, p<.05.. The result, there is difference of aggression intention in early adolescence based on perception of parenting styles.
