Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction on creativity, as well as most of the dimensions that influence on creativity. Creativity is the ability to generate ideas, solutions or products are original and useful on the situation. Creative person has three components models, namely expertise, creative thinking skills and motivation. Organizational climate is as employees' perceptions of the practices, procedures, and activities that constitute a pattern of interactions and behaviors that support creativity, innovation, security or service in the organization. Job satisfaction is how a person's feelings towards his job and the various aspects of his job. This shows the extent to which a person like (satisfaction) or dislike (not satisfied) to work. The research was conducted on 67 multimedia journalists at KB.X. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling and data analysis methods using Spearmen correlation analysis. From this research, it was found the influence of organizational climate towards greater creativity than job satisfaction. Organizational climate has 26.2% and job satisfaction has 8.5% contribution on creativity. Dimensions of organizational climate greatest influence creativity is member autonomy. So it can be said that the freedom given to the journalist can increase creativity, the higher the perception of organizational climate makes the higher their creativity.
