Abstract

Family support plays an important role in the day to day life of each individuals, in which it helps them to overcome Iife's greatest obstacles as well as completingtheir duty as employees in a company. Family support given is one of the most essential part in a worker's life especially in increasing their working motivation. Together with it, working support can also rejuvenate the level of a worker's motivation that in some points might experience declination due to the psychological tiredness caused by pressure at work. The research enlightens a very crucial perspective concerning both jobs or works and the role of family in the workers life whether there is correlation between a worker's perception regarding family supports with his achievement motivation. 151 construction labors are chosen as the subject of this research, all of whom working as labors for PT Kwinto Viratus Building Contractors, Jakarta. Data collection was done using questionnaire. The research result showed that there is a significant positive correlation between a worker's perception regarding family support with his achievement motivation (r = 0,516, p < 0,01). This means that the better the perception of a worker about family support, the higher his level of achievement motivation.
