Abstract
Achievement motivation is individual power and daeires to finish a difficult duty and try to complete that duty better than everyone else (Greenberg & Baron, 1997). Achievement motivation has relationship with a children birth order and parenting style in family. This examination purpose to know is there any relationship between children birth order with a children achievement motivation at school and a parenting style in family with a children achievement motivation at school. Data is taken from 91 students at Strada Santa Maria I Secondary School in Tangerang, second grade. This examination use Oneway Anova and Pearson Correlation tn'al with SPSS 11.00 version program. This data use 2 instrument measures, there are achievement motivation and parenting style. The result of this exemination are the relationship between children birth order with a children achievement motivation at school get -0.033 correlation score, 0.758 significant scores, p>0.05. its means Ho has accepted. There is no relationship between a Children birth order with a children achievement motivation at school. For relationship between a parenting style with a children achievement motivation at school get -0.059 significant score, hp>0.05. lts means Ho2 has accepted. There is no relationship between a parenting style and a children achievement motivation at school.
