Abstract
This research is aimed to improve expressive language skills at age of Early Childhood Autism using ABA method with Discrete Trial Training technique. This research was conducted at Sekolah Alam in Bekasi with 5 years and 4 months old male participant who have limitations in pronouncing the letter which lasted from January to October 2013. This study focused on the areas of phonology, semantics and syntax which the use of non-experimental methods that are single case using pretest and posttest measurement methods to determine whether is there an increasing before or after intervention. Discrete Trial Training technique has five basic principles, stimulus (S), prompt (P), response (R), consequences (C) and intertrial intervention (I). In this case, participants must have eye contact and understand the instructions. The basic principle used by researchers to intervene so that the researchers conducted 18 sessions starts at 07.30 to 13.00 continued till 15.00 to 16.55 pm. Discrete Trial Training Techniques looks effective in improving expressive language skills, especially in the area of phonology based on the results of the pretest and posttest.
