Abstract
" This study is aimed to find out the difference between Chinese university students and Javanese university students on of self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is, one's belief in his or her ability to finish a particularjob that he or she is intended to. Basically, self-efficacy is not closely related to real ability it self; on the other hand, it is more focused on one's faith in himself that he or she is definitely able to complete a certain duty or task to solve problems. The study used t-test with SPSS Programme version 9.01 for windows a to process the data to gather the 3 data and using there were '120 individuals involved in this research. 60 persons were Chinese and 60 persons Whereas the rest were Javanese. The research was conducted in two different places. The first is Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta and Sebelas Maret State University, Surakarta. The result of this research show that there is no slight and significant difference on self-efficacy between Chinese university students and Javanese university students (t (118): -0.057, p >0.050. This research proves that cultural differences does not influence and plays important role in one's self-efficacy, especially on university students."
