Abstract
Children with autism spectrum disorder show limited ability in social skills therefore had a problems to adjust in social situations. Social story is one of method have been used to improved social skills for children with autism. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of social story intervention to improve social skills in children with autism in school setting. A social story was given by written story with text and pictorial cues or photos to explained social situation. This studies involved a boy with autistic aged 10 years 3 month with deficit in social skills as a partisipant. The method of this research is quasi experiment design with single subject. Result found that social story had no positive effect on improving social skills in children with autism in a regular school setting.
