Abstract
Parenting style is the combination from two dimensions of child rearing provide by a parent. That dimensions is demanding/controlling and accepting/responsive. Parenting style is an important facet for adolescent’s identity because it influenced adolescent in crisis and commitment. The extent of adolescent’s crisis dan commitment are used to classify the individual to identity statuses. Based on Erikson’s theory, Marcia proposed four kind of identity statuses. That statuses is, identity achievement, foreclosure, moratorium, and diffusion. The research look for correlation between parenting style with identity statuses of adolescent. Method which used is Spearman Correlation and result is value of r=0.107 and value of sig/p=0.1333 (>0.05). That is mean no correlation between parenting style with identity statues of adolescent.
