Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate whether the better attachment type would have made the better of peer status in late adolescence. Attachment is an enduring emotional tie and a desire to be close between the infants to their mother or the caregiver. Using the attachment theory by Mary Ainsworth, Blehar, waters and Wall. Also using the peer status theory by Coie, Dodge and Coppotelli. The participant of this study was 155 college students. Data was obtained by questionnaire and processed with SPSS for windows version 13. Using crosstabs technique, the result of this study א² (6, N= 155) = 4.103, p > 0.663, showed that there is no difference within the peer status based on the type of attachment in late adolescence.
