Abstract
This research was done to find out the psychological effects of breast cancer stadium II and III from four woman patients between 30-40 years old. The purpose of this research is to describe the self-adjustment and coping from female breast cancer patient. The observed self-adjustments start from the time they received the diagnosis of cancer to the time their treatments are finished. The adjustments also continue to the time they feel the effects of the treatments they had taken/undergone. These adjustments are influenced by coping. Coping will happen if one is in an unpleasant situation. This research used a qualitative method to gain various information from breast cancer patients. More specifically, the qualitative method is an interview which was conducted based on prepared guidelines. Based on a research, 2 of 4 subjects had to lose their breasts and the other had to lose their nipples. The 4 subjects still had good self-adjustment in their daily lifes and during the treatment process. The coping that was used to cope with their problems was Problem focused coping.
