Abstract
"The labile economy system in Indonesia triggered an increase in the poverty level of Indonesian society. This situation results in more manpower looking for a better income by working in abroad countries, such as Malaysia. However, the low level of education that they have, made the woman labors more susceptible to be the victims of human trafficking through deception or personal persuade by agreement that they will get a job and earn lot of money. The purpose of this research is to get a better understanding about the psychological well-being of the victims of human trafficking. The data were processed by qualitative analysis. According to Ryff’s theory, obtained the picture of psychological well-being of the five subjects, in this case woman labors as human trafficking victims, is not good. They tend not having good self-acceptance, they don’t have positive relationship with others, don’t have autonomy, they can’t mastery the environment quite well, they don’t have distinct life’s purpose, and they don’t have obstacle in personality growth. Interview was held between 8 August 2007 and 15 November 2007. The result of this research can be concluded that none of the subjects have all six dimensions of psychological well-being. "
