Abstract
Drummers had their ability to play drums as an outcome from years of training, and to have an achievement from playing, the drummers need more practice and training, and to had an achievement as a drummer in an early age is not only that it came from one self but also need a support from his surroundings, the parenting role are very important in order to shape the quality of the child to achieve an outstanding achievement. This research use a qualitative research method. Participants are three people, two women and a man which they all three had a children who play drums and had an outstanding achievement with their instrument. This research starts from February until July 2009. The result of this research shows that the parenting role from parents had a significant part in their children’s achievement. And all of the children had an authoritative parenting style from their parents, parents responsibility and also supports for their interest and their talent. They developed the talent from their children, and the parents also show supports in financial, motivation, time, and other form of supports that makes their children become an achiever.
