Abstract
Self acceptance is an attitude that basically is to feel satisfied to one self, quality and own talent, and realizing one limitation (Chaplin, 2000). Other than that infertility is a “disability” to get pregnant after 12 to 18 months of trying according to theory (Papalia, 1998). This research intended to understand thoroughly about the process image and self acceptance in men and women who has infertility problems. Feeling of guilt, community demands and the society that must be faced by the infertilities, men or women. This situations makes the infertilities have a self disappointment to them selves and to their partners. This research has been done to men and women at an adult stage of life with age ranges from 40-50 years old, which have the infertility problems. This research is conducted using interview methods and the result shows that all four subjects has a good self acceptance according to Hurlock findings (1974). Social support from friends and relatives also influence in one self acceptance process. Aside from four subjects, one subject has a negative reaction from his/her work environment. But with support from relatives, one subject finally accept oneself to what state he is in.
