Abstract
This study aimed to know the description of burnout in Christian pastor who working on the X church denomination in Jakarta. Burnout is a psychological syndrome that represents an individual response include physical and emotional symptoms of fatigue caused by long involvement in demanding situations and are usually experienced by helping professions. This study uses the theory of Maslach, who divides the concept of burnout in three dimensions, there are the dimensions of exhaustion, cynicism dimensions, and ineffectiveness dimensions. There are three factors that can affect the appearance of burnout, namely situational factors or job characteristics, organizational factors, and individual or personality factors that include demographic factors like gender, age, and so on. This study is conducted from February 2010 until July 2010. This study uses a questionnaire with a 66 points statement, given to 150 subjects of professional clergy. Processing data using descriptive statistics with SPSS 12.00. The data processing results show that burnout level in christian pastor working on the X church denominations in Jakarta tends to be low on each dimensions.
