Abstract
Bandura (quoted by Santrock, 2007) states that self-efficacy is the critical factor in reaching the adolescent’s goal. Self-efficacy is confidence that one is capable to handle obstacles of the target. This reaserch is purpose for describing self-efficacy of the trash picker’s children who is adolescent at Jakarta in reaching their goals. Amount of subjects is three with several criteria, which is late adolescent (17 until 21 years old), live in excrete area in Jakarta, have minimal rate 70 in their rapport, and their parental get income just from trash picker. They are living in poverty condition and insecurity by criminal offence. Lack of economic is resistence of the trash picker’s children to get education until university level. But, they have high self-efficacy to persistence for doing anything efforts in reaching their goals.
