Abstract
Marriage often portrayed as something beautiful and romantic, but sometimes there is a conflict in a marriage such as adultery committed by a young adulthood’s husband so that ‘damage’ the marriage. Factor behind the infidelity can not be clearly ascertained. The planned behavior theory explained that the behavior can be predicted from intention, by measuring attitude toward the behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control. This study aimed to determine description of effect of attitude toward the behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control into engaging affair intention. Data were obtained from 85 young adulthood’s husband, collected using questionnaeires. The method used in this research is inferential. The result of this study shows that attitude toward the behavior, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control have affected intention to conduct an affair (F [3, 81] = 20.376; p < 0.01); but reviewed based on the significance of the influence of each variable, only attitude toward the behavior that has highly significant effect into intention to conduct an affair (β = 0.565; p < 0.01).
