Abstract
Transsexuals is a form of Gender Identity Disorder (GID), which is a mental condition in the opposite between the sexes with gender identity. The transsexual lot of discrimination such as being isolated, reviled, and treated humanely. This can make the transsexual develop negative self-concept. One of the information to establish the concept of self is the attitude of the family and the environment. Therefore, it is often individuals who grew up in negative parenting and the environment is less supportive, tend to have negative self-concept. Qualitative research was conducted consisting of four subjects. The results of data analysis showed the four subjects varied self-concepts. On the concept of internal self, the four subjects in general do not feel the difficulty in describing the identity, there is harmony between the identity of the subjects with the behavior, and are not satisfied with himself and his work. While on an external self-concept, the four subjects in general have a fairly positive self-concept in the field of physical self, moral-ethical self, family self and social self.
