Abstract
This research aimed to know the description of the commitment by early adult women who have an alcoholic husband that makes them survive in their relationships and problems that arise in the marriage. This research uses in-depth interviews of four early adulthood women aged 27-39 years, applied from Februari 2011 until June 2011. This resarch resulted that the commitment (personal, structural, and moral) is the main reason for women to maintain a relationship with an alcoholic husband. The most dominant used by the subjects in this research is a moral commitment, followed by the structural commitment and personal commitment. In addition, the results of this research also obtained information that all subjects of this research at least had experienced of violence, either physical violence, psychological, sexual or economic.
