Abstract
Nowdays the children’s growth with intellectual disability has developed very fast. So the mother’s role in take care of the children is very needed. One of them is Social Support which exchange of human resouce between individual. That human resource makes individual become comfortable, taken care, and more able to face daily’s problems. Having children witintellectual disability makes mothers need more social support in their daily life. Intellectual disability is genetic disorder which is marked by lackness of intellectual ability and adapting behavior and it is usually started at the age of less than 18 years old. This research involved 3 mothers and had been done for six months, and started on January 2013 until June 2013. The result of this research also showed that the most common type of social support for the mother is emotional type. This research also showed that with good social support, mothers can handle their problems well and take care about their children.
