Abstract
At this time the use of mobile phones by children is common. The development of technologies such as communication devices especially smartphones, can affect child's behavior and social life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between conformity with the behavior of smartphone usage in late childhood. The study sample included 31 children aged 10-11 years and use BlackBerry mobile phone. This study was using accidental sampling technique and convenience sampling. The results showed that there is a relationship between conformity with the behavior of smartphone usage in late childhood. Primary data analysis using Pearson correlation and obtain the result r = 0,483 and p = 0,006 <0,01. The higher the score the behavior of BlackBerry mobile phone usage, the higher the score conformity. In addition note, there is not difference in conformity by gender and there is not difference in the behavior of smartphone usage by gender. One contribution of this study is a measure of smartphone usage behavior.
