Abstract
Family formed for relation two or more people who are committed to each other and who share intimacy, resources, decision making responsbility, and values. As coping skills and adaptational processes in the family as a functional unit refers to family resilience. Betawi family as a unit believed to have ability to adapt with modification. This based on the application protective factor family resilience in family ethnic Betawi. Protective factors that play an important role in the family ethnic betawi is belief system with mean 3.336 (child), 3.300 (mother), and 3.259 (father). This research used non-experimental quantitative design, with purposive and snowball sampling technique. Subject of this study consisted of thirty family ethnic Betawi, one of the child who were teenager age, and domicile in Jabodetabek area. The researchers to used a measurement tools Family Resilience Questionnaire was adapted from Froma Walsh. The results shows family ethnic Betawi have the abilty of family resilience tend to be high, empirical mean 3.066 (SD 0.29) and hypothetical mean 3.
