Abstract

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder that makes individuals who experience it feel excessive anxiety and must do something to eliminate these anxieties. Several studies have been conducted explaining that women who experience OCD tend to report more of the disorder they experience than men. This study uses qualitative research methods and aims to determine the impact of OCD that can affect the performance and social interactions that occur in young adult women. Data retrieval was carried out in Jakarta and obtained based on interviews conducted with three subjects of young adult women aged 22-23 years. The results of this study indicate that the more severe the level of OCD does not affect performance and social interaction for individuals who experience it. This is based on the data that subject A, which has severe OCD is able to manage time well so that it can complete the task on time. On the other hand, in subject D, who had moderate OCD, repeated checks were hampered in terms of time efficiency.
