Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence with job satisfaction on deaf school teacher. The study sample included 52 deaf school teacher with ages ranging between 21 until 64 years old and period of work as a deaf school teacher at least one year, and also educational background minimum as a senior high school level. This study was using convenience sampling technique. The results of the data processing and analysis study showed that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on deaf school teacher. Primary data analysis using Pearson correlation and obtain the result r = 0,555 and p = 0,000 < 0,05. Thus this study was known that the higher emotional intelligence on deaf school teacher so that job statisfaction on deaf school teacher will be higher. Vice versa with the lower emotional intelligence on deaf school teacher so that job statisfaction on deaf school teacher will be also lower.
