Abstract

The purpose of this research is to perceive the difference of emotional quotient level between students who are participate in organization and students who are not participate in organization of Student Executive Board and House of Student's Representative in Faculty. Emotional Quotient is the ability to control one-self, zeal and persistence, ability to motivate one-self, survive from frustration, ability to control mood, empathize, hope and optimistic (Goleman, 1997). This research is based on 666 students in X University, which classify into three groups of 183 members of Student Executive Board in Faculty, 118 members of House of Student's Representative in Faculty and 365 students who are not participate in Student Executive Board and House of Student's Representative in Faculty. The finding is there is a difference between students who are participate in organization and students who are not participate in organization with F = 3,504 and p = 0,048. House of Student’s Representative in Faculty has the highest emotional quotient level, then Student Executive Board and the lowest emotional quotient level is students who are not participate in organization.
