Abstract

Thorndike and Hogen (in Sundari, 2005), states that the adjustment is the ability of individuals to obtain peace internally and its relationship with the surrounding environment. Adjustment problems experienced by students is usually because the student had two at the same transition period that requires students to conform, the adjustment to the surrounding environment and adjustment to development that must be followed. The theory is used as a reference in the preparation of this manuscript is the Social Adjustment and Achievement Motivation of McClelland. The purpose of this study is see the relationship between social adjustment and achievement motivation in adolescents beginning. This study was conducted in September 2014. Based on the research the value of r = 0.365 and p = 0.00, which means there is a positif correlation and significant between social adjustement and achievement motivation.
