Abstract
"Intention of prosocial behavior is someone’s intention to help others disregard the motives in self. Especially in middle childhood, this could be invested by modeling. Modeling is a learning process by observing and imitating the model. The research purpose is to describe the intention of prosocial behavior due to modeling in middle childhood. This research uses mixed method. Quantitative research method is used to identify the subjects who have intention of prosocial behavior due to the high level of modeling by giving questionnaires to 84 people aged 10-12 years old; boys and girls; active in fifth and sixth grade X elementary school in 2012. Further, qualitative method is carried through interview to obtain the descriptive of modeling process in subjects that linked to intention of prosocial behavior. The result of this research shows that subjects have intention of prosocial behavior due to modeling process toward parents, teachers, and peers. Parents have more power to be the model due to modeling process of prosocial behavior. "
