Abstract
Marriage is a legal recognition of men and women that united in a new status. Married couple usually lived together but there are some families dont’s which called commuter marriage. The aim of this study was to give a description of marital conflicts in men who undergo long-distance marriage because of job demands using qualitative methods with in-depth interview technique. Participants involved in this research were four working abroad men with age range of 40-65 years in the oil industry. The results of this study showed that men who undergo commuter marriage had some problems with communication, father and child relationship, financial and recreation. The development in technology has also become one of the solutions to maintain good communication with spouse and family.
