Abstract
The level of parents violence against children continues to increase from year to year. Parenting attachment style is one of the aspect that is very important in determining how people form relationships of love to their partner in early adulthood. Attachment style that formed in childhood will be brought up to the stage of early adulthood. Parenting attachment styles affect children’s intimate and romantic relationship to a partner in early adulthood. The aim of this study was investigating the relationships between parenting attachment style with the kinds of love in early adulthood during courtship. This study is a quantitative study using chi square statistic technique is to see a significant relationship between parenting attachment style with the kind of love. The research sample amount 258 subjects who are dating early adult aged in range 20-23 years, with non-probability sampling techniques. Chi-square test results showed Asymp.Sig value amounted to 0.538 < 0.05, which means there is no significant relationship between parenting attachment style with the kinds of love.
