Abstract
The objective of thisresearch is to investigate the role of personality type (Big Five Personality) against dimension self disclosure. Type of personality is an important thing in human's life, because it is related to a person’s behavior personality is a ‘picture’ of how someone acts toward the surrounding environments, which can be seen from the habits of thinking, attitude, and readability, also the unique view of his/ her lifeto have the constancy. The research is conducted on 296late-adolescence at‘X' university with the samplingcharacteristic ages of 18 to 21 years old. The research is using non-experimental quantitative method which called Quasi-Experimentation. The analysis result is using linear regression test to the role of personality trype against self disclosure shown the score r2 = 0.233, F= 17.656 and p = 0.000 < 0.05, type ofopenness personality t= 0.053, p= .958 < 0.05, type ofconscientiousnesspersonality t= - 4.439,p= 0.000 < 0.05, type ofextraversionpersonality t=6.764,p= 0.000 < 0.05, type ofagreeableness personality t= 3.229,p= 0.001 < 0.05, and type ofneuroticism personality t= 4.175,p= 0.000 < 0.05, thus there occurred the significant role between type of personality(conscientiousness, extraversion, neuroticism)against self disclosure.
