Abstract
In the research process, this study was conducted on three subjects. The three subjects have different backgrounds. However, the three are domiciled in Jakarta and have status as stepmother. The subject of the first marriage with a widower and pure replaces the role of his previous wife who died. In addition, all three subjects lived together with stepchildren. Before deciding to marry a widower, the three subjects had many problems and difficulties. As well as, in obtaining the blessing of the subject's parents. Not only that, scorn and satire also obtained the three subjects of neighbors and immediate family, so that the subject had doubts about his decision. Subject R and K already know the status of the couple is a widower, while the subject M not know the actual status. It takes a long time to reassure myself over the decision to marry a widower. In general, the three subjects go through the process and stages of the decision-making process. The study took place within a span of seven months, beginning in April 2017 until November 2017
