Abstract

"Profession as a teacher is one of the professions that are susceptible to stress. Hardiness is one of the internal factors that can help the individu to face the stressful situations. In some previous studies, it was found that hardiness is associated with self-efficacy. Based on this, researchers want to examine the between hardiness and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy. Thus study included 81 teachers who participated in making the questionnaire. This research was conducted in Jakarta by using purposive sampling techniques in November 2017. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between hardiness and self-efficacy (r = 0,453 and p = 0,000). Thus, the conclusion of this research is the higher the hardiness, the self-efficacy is also higher. The lower the hardiness, the self-efficacy is also lower. "
