Abstract
"The presence of ASD children in the family will have a direct impact on the quality of life of the mother. Quality of life is an evaluation of the quality of the individual in general and refers to an image of a person's life such as health, income, housing quality, social role activities, and personal satisfaction with living conditions. This study aims to determine the quality of life of mothers who have children with mild (level I severity) autism spectrum disorder. This research is a qualitative-phenomenological research applying purposive sampling technique to select the four participants. The data collection process was carried out through in-depth interviews within 3-months timespan: from March to May 2018. The results showed that mothers with ASD children had poor quality of life especially in aspects related to physical health and relationships with the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, on aspects related to social relationships and psychological well-being more has its own satisfaction."
