Abstract
"Emotional intelligence is individual abilities to manage and control their emotion and others. It is the important things to achieve creativity and very needed to all majors. For example, in architecture, its needs creativity to discover something new. This research shows the relation between emotional intelligence and creativity of architecture students in University X. Using 136 subjects in range 17- 19 years old by quantitative method and purposive sampling. This research use Emotional Intelligence Scale (Part of The Research and The Measurment of Faculty of Psychology Tarumanagara University, 2013) and Figural Creativity Test has been adapted from Circle Test by Torrance (Munandar, 1998). Research held for 5 months, from February to June. The result show that r = -0,118 and p = 0.04 < 0.05 means that there is negative and significant coleration between emotional intelligence and creativity. The highest emotional intelligence, the lowest that creativity and the lowest emotional intelligence the highest creativity."
