Abstract
This paper describes the process of designing a chair for tailor with a case study on the company tailors convection using the Brother brand sewing machine with certain specifications. The study begins with an interview to know the complaints and needs will tailor a work vehicle seat and also to get a way out so that complaints tailor this time can be reduced. In addition to interviews, also made observations and seat measurements are being used by companies as a comparison, collects data used sewing machines, test quotation sitting position to know the trend of the tailors sitting position. In addition, for get the main components, design and dimensions of the seat is done also observation and measurement work Anthropometric the tailors. From the analysis of these data resulted in the design of the chair, then made a prototype is expected as needed seamstress in the garment company.
