Abstract
The chair is an indispensable tool in the sewing work is done while sitting. The seats were designed based on the rules of ergoonomis can increase comfort and productivity tailors work. Testing the prototype seat comfort is done by measuring the heart rate, the frequency of changes in the sitting position, and assessment of productivity in the working hours. the results of testing against some respondents over 45 minutes, showed that sew using the old chair on average 116 beats / minute, while the new design seat 104 beats per minute. Results of the number of stitches rope belt production per hour using the old seat pants 50.3 units, while using the new seats 53.567 units pants. the amount of change in a sitting position seat sew long on average 13 times. While the new design chair frequency change sitting position decreased to five (5) times. And the results showed that quisuiner new seat design provides comfort over long chair used by companies.
